Hello, My Grandparents owned a grocery store in the late 1940s to late 1950s in Portsmouth NH called Peg’s Grocery Store. This store was located on Deer Street in the historic city of Portsmouth. Sadly the store had to go, but my grandfather kept any and all advertising signs that he enjoyed. All of these vintage signs are 100% authentic and real from this store. Many more are listed and about to be listed. This is a Very sturdy and solid litho sign that stands up great. I really like Hood’s idea to have the border of this sign a deep dark black. The milk bottle really seems to pop because of that. A 3-d type of effect. Also the choice of red for the lettering and at the top of the bottles neck really gives it a realistic look.
