For sale is a Vintage Smokey Bear Original Hand Painted Wooden Park Sign. It is in good vintage condition with light wear from age and use. There is a slight curve to the wood (see last picture). Hand painted wooden Smokey Bear signs were used in State & National Parks across the United States from the 1930s to the 1960s until they were replaced by manufactured signs. This sign was used in a park in southern Wisconsin and was said to have been painted by local school children. It measures 46 3/4″ Tall and 22″ Wide.
