Oshkosh B’Gosh Overalls Union Made Single Sided Porcelain Sign. We are offering a very desirable 1960 to 1980s enamel on metal sign. Super Red, White and Blue Graphics. With Great Bright Colors and Gloss. Each mounting Hole retains it’s original brass grommet. OshKosh B’gosh was founded in 1895 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. It was the brilliant idea of designing a pint-size version for the children. That gave OshKosh B’gosh its true meaning and purpose. The term “B’gosh” began being used in 1911, after general manager William Pollock. Heard the tagline “Oshkosh B’Gosh” in a vaudeville act. The company formally adopted the name OshKosh B’gosh in 1937. Age 1960 to 1980s. Weight: of sign 3 pounds. This sign is in remarkably good age related condition. With it’s original baked enamel over metal bright colors. The lower right corner shows minor damage and minor paint loss. There are only minor spots of oxidation. Very minor surface scratching.
