VINTAGE ADVERTISING PORCELAIN COCA COLA COKE BUTTON SIGN 48. Color is still bright and vibrant. No photoshooting has been done to these images. So here’s the story. My home was built in the late 1940s. When my parents moved in these were being used as planters on a landscaped hillside. When I moved in in 2010 I pulled them up and discovered that they were actually Coca-Cola signs. The outside of them had been covered in some kind of a thick coating, but I was easily able to clean that off with a sponge and some soap. I was delighted to discover the beauty beneath! I’ve done some research and these are clearly porcelain. I’ve done my best to take close-up photographs of the areas where there is damage. My hand is next to the damage to give you a sense of scale. There are some holes that were used for drainage in the very center of the button. The back side of the button has some kind of coating on it as well and I’m not sure if that’s original or not, but it has no impact on the outside of it.
